Our soaps are crafted by Le Sérail, one of the last five traditional soap makers officially certified to produce Savon de Marseille. Each bar carries over four centuries of savoir-faire, combining authenticity, simplicity, and respect for nature. Every batch is slowly cooked in a cauldron and air-dried — just as it was done in 1688.

We use it to wash the dishes. It cleans without drying out the hands, especially important during the winter. It's a nice big size and lasts long.
Soft, hydrating and long lasting.
The combination of Savon de Marseilles and baking soda makes for an excellent stain remover. Wet the stained clothing, wet the bar, and rub it in thoroughly using a circular motion on both sides of the stain. I usually let it rest, then wash in cold water. I've found it to be extremely effective.
I've been using Le Serail Savon de Marseilles for more than a decade. I'm so glad that there is another outlet to purchase through Crains Degun in the US. I especially like their 80% olive oil soap with crushed verbena flowers. It has a bit of exfoliating power to it, and it smells wonderful. There are only about five traditional makers left, and I greatly appreciate the variety that Le Serail makes. Thanks! And I hope that you will start carrying the 300 gm cube with verbena.
