Crafted in Provence, inspired by nature, and made to last.

From Marseille with Soul

Our Story

Born from a deep love for Provence and its traditions, Crains Dégun celebrates the authenticity of Marseille soap — a timeless symbol of purity, craftsmanship, and simplicity.

We partner with Le Sérail, one of the last traditional soap factories in Marseille, where each bar is still cooked in a cauldron following centuries-old methods.

Our mission is simple: to share this heritage with the world — one soap at a time — while keeping alive the artisanal spirit that makes each product unique.

The Art of Marseille Soap

At the heart of every bar lies a formula as pure as it is effective — vegetable oils, water, and soda.

No palm oil. No preservatives. No colorants. Only nature and craftsmanship.

Each soap is boiled, poured, cut, and stamped by hand, resulting in a natural product that respects your skin and the planet.

Whether it’s olive, lavender, or donkey milk, every scent evokes the landscapes and warmth of southern France.

Our Partner: Le Sérail Soap Factory

Founded in 1949, the Savonnerie Le Sérail is today one of the last artisanal and family-run soap factories in Marseille.

Inside its historic workshops, the process has remained unchanged — a rare commitment to authentic Marseille soapmaking.

This partnership allows Crains Dégun to offer products that carry both heritage and quality, officially recognized and certified as Savon de Marseille.

A Celebration of Provence

Beyond soap, Crains Dégun embodies a way of life — rooted in sunlight, simplicity, and natural well-being.

Each fragrance tells a story: lavender fields in bloom, olive groves under the mistral, fresh linens drying in the sun.

Through our creations, we invite you to experience the essence of Provence wherever you are.

Our Promise

Because authenticity and respect are at the heart of everything we do.

Pure by Nature

We use only plant-based ingredients — olive oil, copra, and water — following the traditional Marseille recipe.

No palm oil, no preservatives, no colorants.

Just the essentials for your skin and the planet.

Made the Traditional Way

Each soap is slowly cooked in a cauldron at Le Sérail, one of Marseille’s last true soap factories.

From pouring to stamping, every bar carries the mark of human hands and Provençal heritage.

Respect for People & Planet

We believe in honest production — local, traceable, and cruelty-free.

Our soaps are biodegradable and eco-friendly, crafted to last and leave a lighter footprint.
